Yup, that's right - we finally got the call that Simon is ready for us to come pick him up. We got the call on Monday morning, but had a hard time getting the tickets we wanted for when we wanted to go. We finally got everything confirmed late yesterday afternoon - we are leaving on Saturday, June 9 - yes that is THIS Saturday. We will arrive in Korea on Sunday evening, will have 5 full days in country and will leave to come home on Saturday, June 16.
We are waiting to hear when we will actually get to see Simon. We will likely get to visit him a few times during the week and will get custody of him shortly before we are sheduled to leave for home.
I am going to try to post some photos of his newly finished bedroom before we leave - in all my spare time :-)

New Photos of Simon!!!
We got some new photos of Simon today. We are guessing that he was about 5 months old when these were taken. We may be a little biased, but we think he is pretty cute!!!
This is Simon surrounded by the gifts we were able to send in a care package with someone else who was traveling to pick up their baby. Notice Anna in the bottom left corner - already edging her way into his life :-)

First Post
Okay, so I am totally new to this blogging thing and just hoping that I don't mess it up.
For those of you who don't know, we received our referral of Simon William Jin on March 12, 2007. He was born on December 15, 2006 in Seoul, South Korea. We have been paper-chasing and eagerly anticipating the completion of each step of approval on the U.S. and Korean side of things and WE ARE ALMOST THERE! We received word on Friday, May 18 that the last "approval" has been made. The agency in Korea is now working on getting Simon's passport and visa issued and in 1-4 weeks we are told we should get the call to come get him.
We are hoping to use this to give updates and post photos while we are in Korea.
